We are waiting to hear back from several
applications for donations and grants, including our application to the
Heritage Lottery Fund which is being considered against all the other
competition.
Thank you to all who came and enjoyed Afternoon Tea in aid of the
Barnham Broom Church Bells Restoration Appeal in July. The relaxing afternoon
in beautiful surroundings and warm and sunny weather helped raise just over £300
for the Bells Appeal.
Our next event with be a Village Summer Party at Barnham Broom Village
Hall & Playing Fields on Sun 20th August from 2pm to 5pm. Entrance is free
and we hope you can join us for a social afternoon that will include refreshments,
tombola, cakes, children's games, bouncy castle, penalty shootout, BBQ, ice
cream, music and a Beer Tent provided by The Bell Public House.
Our grateful thanks for all your recent donations, including the Bowls
Club and one anonymous donor who was visiting the church recently, having been
married there 50 years ago. Finding out about our appeal, they made a
contribution thorough the collection box in the shop. The collection box in Barnham
Broom Post Office & Stores has now raised over £650 for the appeal for
which we sincerely thank all the customers and staff.
Thank you all once again for your continued support, helping us raise
over £42,800 so far. This total amount does include money already paid out as
well as some donations and grants pledged but not yet received.
