In order to attract Heritage Lottery Funding, the scope of our Appeal was extended to embrace the community, the village primary school and the history of the village.
Our project was extended to include:
• campanology at the
local school
• CCTV camera technology
in the bell chamber and the ringing chamber
• a pageant of the
history of the Church and the bells in 2018
Having received the final refunds from the taxman on top of the final
payment of our Heritage Lottery Fund grant, our committee met again in 2019 to
further extend our project using the funds in hand.
With the safety of our bell ringers and visitors to our bells in mind,
repairs to the bell tower stairs and window sill are our priority.
