The Service of Re-dedication of our Church Bells on 14th October 2018

The Service of re-dedication for our 5 re-hung bells of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Barnham Broom by The Right Reverend Graham James Bishop of Norwich took place at 10am on 14th October 2018.

With a damp weather forecast, an awning joined the marquees used for extra seating for the service and for refreshments to the West Door. Live feeds from the bell chamber and ringing chamber were transmitted to screens in the church and marquee so that all could see the re-dedication itself.

The supporters of the Appeal and local residents were joined by:
Richard Jewson, Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, patron of the Bells Restoration project
Mr Charles Watt, the current High Sheriff of Norfolk
The new Barnham Broom Bell Ringers, who rang the bells during the service after the re-dedication and after the service as the Ministers, Choir and congregation left the church
Schoolchildren from Barnham Broom C of E Primary School whose choir and handchime group were part of the service
The 1st Barnham Broom Brownies who helped serve refreshments afterwards.
