Lowering the bells – Part 5

Wednesday morning 29/11/2017

A 9am arrival of bells and wheels to the school in the rain.

Then on to the Village Hall, a little later than planned.

Ben, our youngest trainee bellringer, was the last to ring one of the Barnham Broom bells before they were lowered. He watched on as Jill talked about the bells. 

The bells all strapped in and ready to go.

There was a chance to warm up with coffee and biscuits in the Village Hall before the bells began the journey to the foundry just after 11am.
