On
Saturday 24th February, we enjoyed a visit to Whites of Appleton Ltd. Church
Bellhangers in Abingdon, Oxfordshire to see where our church bells are being renovated. The free coach travel and guided tour were
made possible thanks to our Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
We are
now turning our attention to several tasks that need completing around the
milestones of rehanging and rededicating our bells prior to them ringing on
November 11th 2018.
We are
also planning another Barnham Broom Village Summer Fete in aid of the Bells
Appeal. We hope you can join us on Sunday 19th August 2018 at The Mill
House as in 2016.
Our
Events team, under the direction of the Parish Council, are aiming to continue
to bring the community together in fundraising events that will benefit the
village.
The first
of these events with be a Quiz Night with Bangers & Baked Potato on Saturday
24th March at the Village Hall in aid of the Memorial Garden. Tickets are on sale
for this at Barnham Broom Post Office & Stores.
Our
thanks once again to all who help and support us as we head towards the final
stages of our project.
